The Use Async for Actions option provides the ability to default the default actions of the "quick event" on the action bar (i.e. Import, Export, Turnaround, Send) to use Asynchronous processing.
Asynchronous Event Processing enables a user to initiate an event that will process to completion in the background while providing the user the ability to complete other tasks simultaneously within Transaction Manager. Once an event has been set to process asynchronously, the user will be notified in the status bar that the event has begun, and an event log will be created in the System Activity - Asynchronous Events grid.
Additionally, email notifications will be delivered to the email address of the user who initiates the event. These notifications will also be delivered upon completion of the event to describe its success or failure.
To enable Use Async for Actions, perform the following steps:
Click Administration in the navigation menu.
Select System Configuration from either the Administration submenu or the action bar.
Select the Use Async for Actions checkbox to ensure all actions are processed asynchronously from the "quick event" on the action bar. Deselect the checkbox to turn off the feature and process the quick events asynchronously.
Click the Save button to retain the changes.
