What does a report consist of?
A report consists of user-defined parameters to capture summary information or to quickly define outstanding tasks that need to be completed for transactions.
A report is built with the following data:
Who - Is specific Trading Partner information needed? More than one? All? Choose one, many or all Trading Partners to be captured in the report.
What - What types of interactions are of interest? Inbound? Outbound? Choose one, many or all types of EDI Transactions (Documents) to be included in the report.
When - Is a report needed on last month's transactions? Open transactions? Year-to-date information? Time-bound the report by selecting a Date Range.
The level or type of detail can be customized to return very specific information, including but limited to:
Summary Information – How many POs were received from a particular Trading Partner in the last quarter? From all Partners? What was the total value of those POs? Summary Reports provide either a count of total number of transactions or the total dollar value of those transactions.
Duplication – Was the same document number given to different transactions?
Transaction Acknowledgement – Did the Trading Partner acknowledge receipt of a ship notice?
